Yes, dear Paul Bunion has many reasons to be unhappy. Not only is he all crooked, but he hurts like hell! And because he is so crooked he messes my toenail up making it ingrow all the time and forcing me to keep it trimmed really low and crooked. If you look closely at the picture below you can also see the scar running down my foot where Paul was given a bunionectomy years ago that failed. Paul is pretty pissed off and unhappy that he had to go through all that pain only to have to do it again years later.

Below is what Paul Bunion should look like-all nice and straight with no big bump on the side of him.

So in January I am going to get him another bunionectomy. And this time they are putting 2 screws in Paul ( which they may or may not leave in depending upon if they cause me problems such as getting infected ) to keep him nice and straight. I will be on crutches for a while ( just in time to ruin my birthday), and then I will have to wear a wooden block orthopedic shoe for a while. Neither Paul or myself is looking forward to it having been there done that already once before. But hopefully this time will fix it and we can get Paul's frown turned upside down. Despite having the world's ugliest feet I thought I would document the process for anyone interested.
This is my foot. This is my foot high on heels. Any questions?

OWWW!!! omg omg omg!
That literally makes my tummy hurt to look at it!
Hope it goes well for you and Paul.
Can you ask for a big wooden Dutch clog instead of the wooden block shoe?
Hubs has the same toenail thing on both feet from twenty years of wearing military boots, so I really sympathize with you more than it sounds like I am.
I didn't realize how crooked the bones were until I saw the xray. Marching around in boots probably helped me get it I am sure of it. It sure didn't help any.

The shit looks like those little bags of skeleton bones candy you get at Halloween.

Oh poor you - that looks so painful! I hope everything goes well with the operation and that it gets fixed up for good this time.
